Beans, books and Barnes & Noble

So last night Haley and I drove up to Milwaukee to sign up for a Packer / Vikings pork roast being held at OGBH this Sunday.  Her sister Jill and her brother in law Stephen are meeting us there to watch the game.  Then after that we headed over to Kopps on 76th and Haley got a Turtle Custard Waffle Cone – and I got a Zen Green Tea at the Starbucks nearby.  We then headed over to Barnes and Noble to look at assorted books. I picked up a book called “The Year of Living Like Jesus”. So far it’s an interesting read. Something to share with others when I get done reading it.

Today Haley went to Madison for a few days, so I get the house to myself for a while.  Have cleaning to do, books to read and forms to fill out for the adoption process.  As part of the training that we need to do for adoption, Haley asked me to review each of the books that I read on the adoption blog.  I’m wondering if she’ll do the same thing.  There are some good things in the book that I’m currently reading that I need to be aware of or thinking of when going through the adoption process.

Our youth pastor is also going to a youth conference this weekend, so I’ll be giving a message this Thursday and Tuesday to the youth students.  Already have the topics/themes that I’m sharing a message on – just need to develop it and write it out.

All in all – looking to be a good day today.  Looking forward to middle school youth group tonight.
